American National Insurance Co. reported an increase in earnings for the fourth quarter and all of 2010.
The Galveston, Texas-based company, which is parent to Farm Family Holdings of Glenmont, N.Y., had net income for the fourth quarter of $35.6 million, or $1.33 a share. This compares to net income of $34.9 million, or $1.31 a share, in the year-ago quarter.
Quarterly revenue declined slightly, from $786.6 million in 2009 to $783.3 million in 2010.
